go for it you will like it, the 700r will probably not hold up, I get 16 miles per gallon with mine running 70-75 mph, you will need 73-87 motor stands, do a search for more info, Longhornman has a site with good pictures and info

The 700R4 will not hold up at all... unless you spend a ton of money on billet items. Like 3500.00... ask your trans builder to make it hold to 500ft lbs of torque. Mine laughed at me.

If you need OD, go 4L80E with an adapter plate and stand alone controller. You'll still have to build a bit...

Here's mine:

Ha. i'd find a new trans builder, mine will build me one to handle 500hp/500tq for $1000

With what torque converter?

What hard parts?
