Re: Glock's official "Project 68" build thread

Wynne, I stopped by Bob's house a year and a half ago when you guys were at CTC. You won't be disappointed with this trade, Bob did some good work. I'm glad it's going to be closer to me so I can see it more often.

When is the exchange going to take place?

Re: Glock's official "Project 68" build thread

Thanks Steven! From what I've seen, he's done an awesome job. I just hope that I can finish it with the same level of quality. We're planning to meet near Wichita Kansas on the 28th of June.

Re: Glock's official "Project 68" build thread

Thanks for all the nice words guys! I would be lying if I said I won't miss this truck, but it's going to a great home.

I am going to add one last hurrah to this thread though before it is no longer mine.......

Besides the dash, my next favorite thing I have done to this truck is the exhaust system, AND I WANT TO HEAR IT RUN!!!! So in the morning, I am going to put in the radiator, battery cables, borrow the cap and wires off of Goldie, drop a fuel line from the pump into a gas can, and fire her up!

I'm going to get video of it, so hopefully I can figure out how to upload a video to Youtube or Photobucket so I can post it.

Stay tuned.......

The exhaust system, and what it looks like right now:

Re: Glock's official "Project 68" build thread

OMG, it sounds freaking SWEET!!!! Unfortunately my camcorder is being a POS right now, and I can't get it to play on my computer, which means I can't upload a video of it. But as soon as I figure it out I will post up a vid.

If anyone is looking for a great Flowmaster-type sound from an inexpensive welded muffler, these are the bomb, and only $38 each:

Re: Glock's official "Project 68" build thread

The deal is done, I have the 68 now, & Glock has the 85. I'm very happy with the 68, Glock left nothing untouched, and does great work. I'll probably go a little more "resto-rod" with it, but it will be a while before I can work on it. Hopefully this winter after I finish the '70. Thanks Bob!

Re: Glock and HuggerCST's official "Project 68" build thread

We still plan on flying out there to see it when it's done. I don't plan on driving that far again for awhile!

I forgot to tell you Sunday... the fuel filler tube has been laying on top the fuel tank forever, and I forgot to take it out when I put the wood in. It was snug and wasn't going anywhere, so it should be there waiting for ya!

Dash looks great, i think the ignition switch wipers and headlights etc would look good on the lower left of the steering wheel kinda out of the way. Or you could get a bezel made to match the ac controls to mount them all in,

No progress, but I did pick up a sure fit vintage air system for it today. Used, but 1/2 price.

Not yet, thanks! I haven't even laid my hands on it yet. My brother in law picked it up in NC and hasn't come down here yet, but is planning to in March.
No progress on the truck yet, just buying and trading a few parts for it here and there.

Hey Wynne - Hopefully you still get notices for this thread. I see that you sold the 68. Do you have any info for who you sold it to? I would like to be able to keep tabs on it's progress and completion if at all possible. Hope things are going good for you down there!
