Need plans(specs) for a bed lifter

I need plans, blue prints or just specifics on the device the body shops BUY to lift truck beds with a mobile crane . I will settle for a good picture of a store bought or Holmes made one . I'm sure I can figure it out because I fabricated for a living once, and built my own engine testing stand. I just thought I would save myself some math. got any good pictures of what worked for you at home without a bed lifter. I always work alone or with just one 9 year old helper so it needs to be mechanical. thanx , DAVE

Thumbs up peice of cake

all you do....is cut two 2x4's the inside width of you bed ......
turn them 1 1/2" side up ..for max strength...drill two holes ...
one in each end..big enough for your favorite heavy duty rope
tie any way you want at board....so wont come out....(big knot)
or loop...cut rope so ends wiil be even in center...after loops are tied....hook to comealong from rafter....do same for rear....lift...
roll truck from under ...drive truck from under.....sit on h.d. saw horse's......do your thing......no room in garage ..raise back up
pull truck back in....leave bed up in air...close door ...go see momma
boy i sure wish i could just draw a picture, its easy, modify
a will.thats how i did mine...crawled inside the bed every think on horse's.....buy some good steel ones from home depot...or favorite hardware store.......MARK i love you man

I went the expensive way. I invited 3 friends over for a beer. 4 guys can lift the bed off very easly. However, those same 4 guys can drink a lot of beer. Dont break out the beer until the bed is off, this will help prevent any dents & broken feet.

I use a forklift and some rope Just tie the end of the bed to the load cage on the lift and go at it.

WUSS! Everytime I lift my bed off it's just me and another guy at the wheel wells. Not fun, especially since this last time was within the confines of my 2 car garage (more like 1.5 car).

See, even a geriatric and an adolescent can do it by themselves!
