Something is different. The markings on the dial look more like the factory gauges in these trucks but the other tachs pictured in this thread don't. What's the difference? Like which camaros would have that dial?

Haha, this did come out of a late 70's camaro, but I have done some things to make it "look" like it belongs in a truck dash. I don't know what years had the black raised center circle as opposed to other camaro year tachs. I pulled the tachometer from a junkyard and tested it and decided to go crazy. Trevor

i just did mine and it looks great. question though does the 12v wire go to constant or key on power? i have it hooked up to key on power and when i shut the truck off the tach jumps to about 2500

I did buy this tach on thanksgiving day from a Pontiac Trans Am or firebir 86-87 for $2.50 junkyard . on the following days, IŽll be working on this project

i have a six cylinder in my truck will any 70-80 camaro work? or do i need to found one that was originally equipped to a 6 cyl? thanks im def. hoping to do this they look great in the pics
