Thanks!! I am so looking ofrward to next Friday... should be driving day THen the interior will be next, as soon as I save up some more money..lol..

The stain is color matchable. I found a color that I wanted, and they matched it.. BUT check to be sure you like it !! take a piece of the wood with you to check it out.. I ended up not liking the initial stain color (too grey), but since I had a piece of the wood with me, I was able to have them tweek it right there.

It was something like $36.00 for the gallon. Only need one though. I believe it is Behr Premium tintable base waterproofing wood stain. It's a brand new product. It's waterproof and stain in one.

dang... bed isn't gonna be ready for christmas, but got door windows and all the felt, rubber installed yesterday... waiting on front and back window to be delivered. Bed will be blocked and sanded today and hopefully paint goes on tomorrow.. if so, it won't be ready before christmas.. but maybe new years....

Better paint pics, and windows in and grill on... i like the dual headlights, and the 60 grill is my preference. maybe eventually back totrue 62 grill at some time, but not for right now...

Oh yea, it runs nice and strong... I rebuilt the transmission while I was at it... so, its all pretty much like brand new...

Bed is on. It is going to muffler shop tomorrow morning... Hopefully rest of paint is done today... I keep saying I am going to have truck done tomorrow..lol... umm let's say Friday... will update pics when I get it..

Here she is.. all back from the paint shop... and ready to roll!! I put 200 miles on her on Saturday, just driving around town....lol







Started work on the inside now... Still really loud with stuff mostly in... wondering if I need a second layer... I still have a padding going on top of it, and then the carpet with backer... I would like to hear my stereo when it gets hooked up..lol

I used Second Skin (secondskinaudio.com)... supposed to be awesome stuff at half the price of dynamat etc... and not asphalt based... so no heat problems (in Vegas that lowes stuff can melt)... I found another, that may be even cheaper... I didn't get enough so I have to order more and may try the other stuff to finish.

Out for a Sunday drive....

Damplifier pro and then Luxury Liner Pro will go on top prior to the carpet...

We will see how it all does...

Meanwhile... got the truck aligned today... the tie rods were rusted nearly solid.. they heated them up ... got them loosened, cleaned them up, a bit of anti-seize and they are like new! what a difference an alignment makes..

And I Do! not only that... 10-15 minute conversations, just about anywhere I go, not to mention offers to sell. I have had people actually get pissed off when I tell them it's not for sale, and they would have to fight my son for it..lol...

THe bed is oak, then stained with a tintable stain that I got from Home Depot. It's waterproof guaranteed for 6 years and has some polymer in it that is supposed to help. I like the stain only because I intend to use the bed and if it scratches or gouges, just stain it again.. no seal to mess up.

the entire inside of the bed and wheel tubs is coated with Hippo Liner. spayed on extremely easy and painted it. Also, other than the two bolts through the floor of the bed in the rear, I did this to hide the other bolts.



I am not happy that when the painter/body guy put the tail gate back on he moved my cables from being hidden inside the latch area where I had them, to outside for some reason so you can see them.. I know its not a show truck by any means and they do work perfectly, but I do like a clean look.. for some reason I didn't even notice that until I just posted these pics... I have to see if I can fix that...
