Re: Slot lovers unite!

Alright slot lovers, help me out here: I have 4 slots for my C20. Now, I only have 8 lug nuts and I need 24 more. I've checked the local tire\wheel shop and auto parts store, and they don't have lug nuts for me. What type of lug nuts do I need? I'll probably have to order them from somewhere.

Man that's a beautiful truck. I love the look of the new versions of these wheels. Perfect combo of retro style and modern flare. Thanks for the pics.

Re: Slot lovers unite!

Test fitment today. I know people are running 33s on C20s, but I wanted to do a test fitment before I commit to buying new tires. There may be 1 good one between the four I have. I only have 1 set of lug nuts so I just did this side.

I still don't know if I'll have enough clearance when the suspension is loaded until I drive it. Looks pretty good. I still have quite a bit of cleanup to do, and then I'll need to paint the hubs or find something to cover those Dana 60 hubs.

Old Skool is the rule.....

I found (2) 6 lug 15 x 8-1/2 Indy Aluminum Slots and (2) 15 x 7 Western Aluminum slots via internet searches. Rear tires are 33x12.5x15, fronts are 235-75-R15.

I love these wheels. Makes the truck look just the way I wanted.

Now, unfortunately, with the Doctor bills ever mounting, a 1 year old baby girl, and some changes at work....looks like I'll be saying goodbye to it. Sometimes it's difficult not to get a little "hacked off" at the way things turn out. But I know where a couple more trucks are...so when things get settled down again, I'll start over.

7/16 x 3/4 long shaft lug nuts from Auto Zone but they were like a $1.00 a piece

Re: Slot lovers unite!

A plain ol tire store might not carry lug nuts but a custom wheel n tire shop will and can get you most anything you need to mount your new wheels.

Re: Slot lovers unite!

This is what the Ansen Sprints looked like when I first saw them. The gentleman said I could have them if I wanted them. I could not believe it. About 2 hours of labor each with a powerball and some new shoes.

Well I like the wheels and the truck too. Mine is a 72 SierraGrande, that's olive green and white 2 tone. Yours looks alot better.
