Awesome....If I knew how to weld I would try it all my self. Can you do that with one of those electric welders that requires you to change out the metal rod when it is used up? Cause my dad has one of those

and my brother in law can teach me how to use it.

How about using pop rivets to do that....any one think it will hold???

just wondering what you use to do your cuts a cutting wheel on a air tool? just wondering how you got it so straight, which seems to me to be very important when butting the two peices together, thanks for this important advice efabman

Everybody seems to be afraid of doing this kind of work, ya gotta believe in yourself, and just do it. There are books, videos, all kind of sources out there. And if you screw it up, guess what? Ya just do it again, just like the "professionals"
