I have started restoring mine, turned out really well just a PITA and very time consuming.
Started with 200grit wet worked upto 2000 grit wet.. trick was to keep the wheel wet at all times, after the pitting/burrs were removed and sanded out smooth, hit them with 2 different polishing compounds, after letting them sit for 2weeks (dry/moisture free) I took them in and had them coated properly. I will try and get pictures , don't have a digital camera.. maybe its time to get with the age of technology.. lol. |
