Re: 496

My ride is not currently running (soon I hope). The last one that I did this way was great with a homemade shroud and 1 15" electric fan. If you can use the 31" wide one, you could do a shroud with 2 fans. You should not have an issue. Note that you have to run a separate trans cooler if you run an automatic.

Re: 496

IMO the Summit brand universal aluminum radiators are a decent deal, and they are available with a trans cooler. Here is just one of them.....

Re: 496

The top pictures shows where i plan to drill two 1/2'' holes in the block for cooling. The newer blocks come with these holes, but this is an older block so it doesn't have them yet.

Re: 496

Yessir, back and ready
I guess i need to change the ole sig
I still need some things. I'm looking for a mechanical fuel pump, internal harmonic balancer.. damper whatever you wanna call it, pushrods, radiator, caltracs, axles, valve covers, and headers.
The company i was working for sold out when i was in iraq so now i gotta find another job. I had an interview with the local coalmine monday and tomorrow i got an interview with the coalmine about 30 minutes east of me. I'm sure at least one of them is bound to hire me lol.
