Yep staying 8 lug and stock height for now. I'm gonna keep it functional as a HD truck. It has a 14 bolt full floater in the rear so it's fine for towing. I may raise it up a little in the future but it's not going any lower than it is now. Also current plans once it's painted and I've redone the interior is to maybe put some H2 wheels with LBZ center caps on them

I actually have a whole 5 lug 1/2 ton front and rear suspension and had seriously thought about converting it and lowering it. I decided to leave this one more than capable of anything I throw at it because I'm going to be doing a frame off resto on my blue and white shortbed and lowering it on big wheels and all that. I may put it on bags also. Haven't really made up my mind about it yet.

88-91 HD rotors (6 lug) and then do the 6x5.5 Full floater conversion on the rear

They are bolt in hubs that change the bolt pattern from 8x6.5 to 6x5.5

Just wondering why I would want to do this. I'm open to suggestions. Just don't understand the reason behind it. It's already 8 lug and I already have wheels and tires to fit the 8 lugs. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$. Just wondering why

Re: My Crewcab Shortbed

A full week off? You should not have any issues at all then having it on the road by Sunday. Anxious to see how you go on some stuff. Watch out for the snowball effect. Might as well go ahead and yank that cab off now.

Thought i read in an earlier post that you had the halfton suspension and all and were thinking about it, although you planned to use this truck for towrig duties, and i figured this is just a way to keep the 14bff and use a halfton lug pattern.

Re: My Crewcab Shortbed

Yeah I'm glad I kept it too. My wife isn't too sure with the state that it's in right now but once I start painting some stuff and putting it back together she will feel better about it. She really can't complain as the truck came from trading the mustang and the mustang came from some of my other wheelin and dealin lol. Anyways I got all the hardware stripped off of the firewall. Now I just gotta get the gunk cleaned off of it and then it'll be time to scuff and paint some stuff
