i told my wife..hey i know that guy, but i couldnt place where (geez im getting old) when i got on line this morning i said ...dang thats who it was , you walked right past my table... dang my bad memory...What steak Dinner??? i thought we agreed on MCdonalds

No way! Man, I wish I would have seen you. I was to concentrated on some Chicken Polenta to be aware of my surroundings. lol
Don't worry though...most people don't acknowledge me in public anyway.

Okay after some trial and error and error and error, I think I have the tank close to where I want it.



I put the bed frame on to help me with the height and placement. New steel and bolts were from GMCPauls.



I cut both back crossmembers out, here is the pic of the second to last brace.



I still need to fill in some rubber so the metal does not rub.

My frame was tweaked a little, droping one side about 1/2" lower than the other in the rear. I used a flat piece of 1/4" steel to brace it back up and then slid the tank to the steel.



I will have to modify the steel piece in order for the inside back bumper bracket to work. I will also fab some hinges for the tank straps and mount them to the steel piece.

As you can tell I gained quite a bit more space by moving the tank back.

sweet progress my friend. i am utilizing a 90 s10 blazer tank in mine. bit smaller than the fullsize blazer tank. just fyi
