that is the bracket I used on my S10 with a 700R4 and an Edelbrock carb, works good. you can make it work bout any way ya want, but a carb set up for a TH350 or 400 has a different range of motion than a throtle body set up for a 700R4 so if you run that trans with a carb you need the corection bracket. Edelbrock also has a cable mount that bolts to the intake , price'y but very solid and worth the money.
