I got my CableX working today with the VSS signal wire from the ECM.

The problem was that the signal from the ECM is much lower frequency than what comes from the speed sensor itself. So you have to set the pulses per mile much lower. (So if you use the pulse per mile from the sensor in the CableX the speed is too low to run the motor)

I am using an E40 ECM and the speedometer is accurate when I set the pulses per mile at 1000. (I understand that mechanical speedometers are standardized to 1000 turns per mile). So evidently the ECM is putting out a 1000 pulse per mile signal.

CableX seems to work fine with that.

Interesting that they make no mention of this in the CableX instructions but the CableX tables allow you to set very low pulses per mile.
