i finally figures it out! it jus needed a little adjusting. the nuts on the trany to the arms wer loose, adjusted the arms, put all new pins in. it just spent somtime on my back watching while my bro sat and shifted and figuring out how the linkage is spposed to be setup to make it functional again. still grinded from a dead stop to rev though. also put that seafoam stuff in the oil and in the fuel. havnt used it before...

This may still indicate that the clutch is not disengaging fully. Have you checked the pedal free play?
