We have been a vintage Air dealer for 20 yrs and like them very much. I have installed other brands, and have had some difficulty. The V.A. kit is worth the extra $$. "sure-fit" style kits are easier to install, but don't look as custom. The Gen III Compac is my favorite for the 55-59. We - No Limit - make an underdash apron that is molded to fit the contour of the dash, and provide a nice mounting area for the vents and controls.

Hey Rob, do you have a part number or a pic of the underdash apron? I still far way from do AC but would like to know it is.

I plan to use Southern Air Superfrost by Southern Rods, very good prices and systems look top notch. Google them and check their site out.

hey joey i looked at there maxi 1 they said it will work for me with my lt1 parts.

Yeah, that's the way I'm going. They gave me a price of 271.00 using my compressor, not to bad.

man they told me$600? What did you get with just the under dash unit buy it self?

Do you have info on that gen3 i only see the gen2. Do you sell the ac unit vent and control? Or do you have buy the hole kit?
