Re: Paint it, or leave it?
Buff it, drop it, and drive it... plain and simple and just following the other posts above. I agree with the 4/6 or 4.5/6" drop, and I did a similar build of my '69, bought it, lowered it, drove it and then added other wheels. Check out my build thread for any information you will need in lowering it and adding disc brakes if you decided to go that route. (Click on Blank Slate in my signature)

Could not believe that you locals did not scoop that thing up quicker, I had to travel 7 hours to pick it up. Like the fact it has very little bondo in it and is wide open under the hood for putting what ever I want in it. Thinking of pulling the body off, LS swap into it, disk brakes and completely build the bottom end up with some CPP tubular stuff. What did you pull the LS out of? |

Re: Paint it, or leave it?
All of my suspension parts came from Early Classics Enterprises. Very nice stuff imo.

what i would do it paint if base black an not put the clear coat on (to kinda give it a rat rod look) an put nice set of chrome wheels with white lettering tires that would look sharp.

Re: Paint it, or leave it?
Buff it out but make sure theres enough to buff. You might make a bigger mess than you want to deal with. I would hand wax it and see how it turns out then drive it. Good Luck

Re: Paint it, or leave it?
If you buff it out with swirl and scratch remover then wax it the paint will propably come out looking like new. I say save some time and money by simply buffing it.
