has anyone sandblasted a set of aluminum valve covers. these are pitted and the pitting want sand out. I think I'm going to try and sandblast them and then clear coat with some engine clear coat.

I sandblast'd the valve cover's and air filter cover's on my MonteCarlo, I piant'd mine but if ya rub em out a little befor ya clear em they outa look good .

I thought I would give a fast update , The engine is done and ready to set in the frame , I will try to get some photos today.
sorry for no updates I've had a lot going on but back on track on. |

here's a few shots of the engine I took today, I still have a few more parts to bolt on but its getting there. thanks for looking, I hope to have the trans and engine in the frame this weekend.

I took the frame and engine to a show just to see what people thought about the truck. I got in the top 20 and every one like the frame/ engine.
But I saw I needed to make a few changes So I got a new Holley carb, new fuel line, and paint a set of valve covers, I'm still going to paint the shocks cause the yellow dont match any thing on the frame. Let me know what you think about the engine. |

It's taking longer to build the truck than I want it to but when it's done It will be done the way I want it. |

Thanks I'm building the truck in memory of my Grandpa, So I want to truck right when I get done with it. I want drive the truck much it's going to be for show's.

Lots of little stuff seems to pop up in a build (or in life to take time away from the actual build) but there isn't a member on this board that wouldn't love to own your truck --- it looks AWESOME!!!
