If a crossmember option is out then look at CPP for an upgraded box and rebuild your front steering. When done right they actually do pretty darn good

As luck would have it, we are currently testing a C-10 Rack&Pinion set-up. (67-87) I'll let you know when were done. So far it fits very nice. 2.75 turns lock-to-lock. Full steering to 40 deg (same as stock). .136 deg bump-out in 4" of compression travel, and .166 deg bump-out in 4" of droop. This mod will require some cutting and welding on the crossmember. We are working on the install templates, and machined adjusters for the TRE. --- SOON, VERY SOON.
