Ball joints are replaced and everythings torqued and moving free. And now everything fits...! I'll have the front wheels on tomorrow when the touch-up paint's dry. Next I'm looking at getting air. Anybody familiar with the AccuAir e-level suspension package and how is the quality compared to similar? I'm looking at using P/N: AA-ELS4-TPAD w/ (2) compressors.

I'm looking at air suspension packages. Anybody familiar with AccuAir and how does their leveling system compare quality-wise to similar packages? It sounds like it's what I'm looking for but I'm unfamiliar with this company.

Contact Nate Porter of Porterbuilt Street Rods or Scotts Hot Rods they both sell the Accuair products.
I would rate them at the top with RideTech products,... but I haven't used any Accuair stuff myself.

Here's what I bought to put on my truck next. I'll have pics as soon as the parts come in and I get them on!!! It's the AccuAir suspension package with Touch pad. Can't wait! Next pic is why I don't get to work on my truck this weekend...

Question: I want as much of a bed as I can get with a shorty. In order to drop the bed to the ground so my dogs can load up I've been wondering what the best way to get around cutting out for the step notches and rearend. I already purchased my rear suspension which is a 4-link cantilever, bagged w/ watts link but has anyone here tried a multi point independent rear suspension and, if so, does this allow me the capability to slam my truck taking up less vertical bed space? Also; has anyone here raised the complete bed of a short wide and can you provide pics?

WOOHOO! I finally got my air package in today!

Here's what I've done on my truck lately... My wattslink is installed, new rear rotors installed and all suspension complete. Of course I had to include a pic of my helper...!

I'm moving my gas tank from behind the seat to inside the frame at the back next, then I get to install my air. I'm hopin to be done by May or June... wish me luck!

awesome job! Very cool, and you're pretty close to me! i was just down in ark city a few weeks ago. that's where i bought my front crossmember for my truck. i need to go to winfield and pick up my 12 bolt posi rear end...

keep up the awesome work! btw...the frame notch is huge! why is it so tall? i'm ignorant when it comes to lowering things....

I'm actually getting ready to cut out the step notch. I'm going across between the rear axle and shocks with tubing and spreading the notch further apart so I can reduce the width of my wheel well (to get more bed room). It'll take a couple extra days to cut, weld in the new notch and repaint but atleast all three of my dogs will fit in the bed when we go for a ride! The step notch came from KP Components, along with my suspension and watts link. The new notch may not need to be quite as tall. It came from the factory like that. It's so I can drop the bed all the way to the ground with the notch clearing the rear axle. I've done more work to it but haven't taken more pics yet.

So far I've gotten pretty good instructions from the manufacturers... when I get stumped, I just post questions on here! You all have been VERY helpful! I'm fixin to install my Accuair package within the next few days... THAT'S a bit more technical then what I've done so far but it looks like I lucked out on finding a great supplier who's willing to answer "blonde" questions!

The 4-link was easy to install BUT... the fasteners that came with it were almost all too short (less then one thread showing when tightened up) so I had to buy longer bolts. Everything lined up and looks good.

Did you do the notch and bags yourself? COOL TATTOO..I have my old 64 chevy swb tattoo on my arm and my old 50 buick roadmaster..Both gone now though..But part of me forever.ha

I did the notch and bags myself but then I had a welder weld the notch in solid for me. I am in the process of cutting the notches back out cause it ate up too much of my bed width. I'm making new ones out of 2x4 tubing that will be further out so I'll have almost a foot and a half wider bed. I'll have more pics soon.
