Re: High back bucket seat demand??

I would be interested in the brakets if you do get them. I have a 85 4x4 I'm restoring and looking to put buckets in it. This would save me some trouble as there are no bucket seat 4x4's around here in the yeards for parts.

There was the small tag in the glovebox with just the numbers and no description. I would think one of them was the code...

Sarge, not sure if it would be worth my time and money to get the brackets themselves.

you could sell those brackets for $100 on ebay easily. For people that want to keep their truck year correct...hi-back buckets are what they want. K5 or suburban seats are totally different seats/brackets and very common. These dont come around often.

I looked for 3 years for a set of original buckets or just brackets for my 76 and finally found a set 2 months ago.

heres mine for my 76, I paid $300 for these and was damn happy to get them.

The high back truck buckets are the very same buckets used in the K5 until '85 or '86, just the mounting brackets are different.

And high back buckets are still bucket seats after all. Worth getting, IMHO.
