Due to the shape of the regular cab frame, and if you wanted to make the frame correct (not modify the cab) you would need to extend the regular cab long bed frame 31" under the cab then take 14" out of the behind the cab. If you are set on using a regular cab frame it would be easier to use a regular cab short bed and just extend the frame 31" under the cab and find some mid cab mounts from a crew or Burb. The only problem you have then is it will be a half ton frame. Honestly I think it would be much easier to get a 2wd CCLB, shorten the frame, and convert to 4wd. I have a 2wd CCSB that is soon to be converted to a 4wd. I found a cheap K20 diesel Burb with a rotten body for my donor. It runs and drives so I have everything needed to convert.
