Re: Who wants to help me find a new truck?

No one asked me...But after dumping in thousands into a pile of parts...which will be a very nice truck in a while...I wish I could have started with that $3,500 truck.
If you don't have the cash, I bet you could find it somewhere in order to save yourself a lot of money and heartache down the line.

My $.02 only.

Also, I can say for sure that when you work with people here on the Forum, you get what you pay for.

Okay. That's my $.03.

Why do this when you can get a sweet looking driver like the CST?

Re: Who wants to help me find a new truck?

Actually the truck in post #22 looks like a pretty good truck. Fairly solid and straight. Surface rust mostly. And a healthy list of options. I'd jump on it if it was 2k-3k range.

Yeah I'm thinking the big block, auto, a/c and cruise make it a must have. With any luck I'll be picking it up Saturday.

I think I would dig up the difference. You will have a lot more in another truck bringing it up to that one.

I agree. The 69' truck for 3500 is nice, but big block, a/c, highlanders don't pop up for sale every day and I don't have any way to dig up the difference.

Yeah. Already have a set of rallys that I can put on that truck. If I end up picking it up probably just freshen up the interior and drive it.

Re: Who wants to help me find a new truck?

Thats to bad on the top one. It was a nice blue 68 long bed with all the trim and nice wood bed. Was really clean. Wondered why it lasted so long. Jim. Good luck on the second one. Hope its a good truck.

Re: Who wants to help me find a new truck?

Well guys I'm going to be heading out tomorrow morning to look at the big block truck and picking up a cab. If I don't buy the big block truck I'm going to look at another truck in OKC on the way home.

Thanks for the help and opinions.

Congrats on PPT196. Very nice.

I'd say that, at 109, I'd kinda expect the pics to have a red tone rather than blue.

Have fun with the truck.
BTW, I think I've stopped at that place before (Dickeys next to the Family Store) .
