just be sure to look carefully at both trucks, dont assume because truck #2 doesnt look rusty that there isnt any bondo, rust or both under that paint. At least truck #1's surface rust shows whats at the bare metal level. Research the Advance Design trucks common rust points and do a thorough inspection of each truck. paint is a minimal detail, so I wouldn't just pick a truck on aesthetics, Truck #2 may easily be in better structural shape than truck #1 ... but from the two simple pics its hard to tell.
i bought a 1957 3200 that was painted blue ... looked real clean until I figured out that it had 1/4" of bondo coating some rusted metal all over.... truck #2 LOOKS to be in good shape, and probably is in better shape than truck #1 but again, I just want to remind you that its possible that the paint is hiding something... |
