Re: rekey lock cylinders, possible?

I replaced my doors locks and ignition lock and it took about 45 minutes. That included drinking two beers. they work alot better than the original worn out locks and was online like $16

Re: rekey lock cylinders, possible?

I lost the key to my '60 suburban, brought a local key shop my ignition lock cylinder and they made me two duplicate keys for about 3 bucks each and called me less than an hour later.

I just found a link on YT on how to recode/rekey the door cylinder locks yourself. My '47 loadie arrived today but the ignition key doesn't fit the door or glove box. I'm going to pull it in the a.m. and try. Has anyone else done this successfully on a classic?
