Re: Yep, I joined the OMC...Ol Man's Club. A Vintage Topper.

I too have a camper top to go on mine when its back on the road, not as cool as yours though, mines a fibreglass one, fairly old probably mid 70's. Not much choice over here, tbh I was lucky to find this one. Mine had spent years on top of a shed at the side of a scottish loch so needs some work.

as found!

I love that look...something kind of comforting... goes well with a stock truck...just need a big CB antennae, an ole 8-track...towing a small aluminum fishing boat. Thanks for sharing.

And now another Topper!!

I just bought another cool old pickup - this is a '71 C10 and it also has a camper shell. I'll probably keep this one, as the 73 GMC is just too nice for me to keep and it will be going up for sale soon.

Here's the new one:

Re: Yep, I joined the OMC...Ol Man's Club. A Vintage Topper.

My new to me 1970 K10 came with this Callen camper.
I am torn on whether to keep it or not, since it is very nice and useful.
Made of all steel frame construction, and the roof rack is solid as a rock. It's so sturdy that I can climb up on top and walk around on it.

Love it! I tried to find one like that 10 yrs ago for my '72 highlander and everyone I talked to thought I was nuts. "Those old things are so heavy. Don't you want a sleek fiberglass one? We can paint it body color." Love it!
