Re: WTB: Oil filler tube manifold style
I apologize ScottH and Zicc1835, I did not make it out to the salvage yard Friday. They are closed on the week ends, so I won't be able to make it out untile Monday at the earliest.
Zicc1835, can you tell me which photo you are referring to? All are of 1967-1972 C10s except for the last one. The last one is out of an impala mid 60s. I used to have a two barrel Rochester with manual choke like yours. I now have a 4 barrell edelbrock. I had purchased several of the two barrel Rochesters from local salvage yards and rebuilt them. I ended up purchasing a reman Rochester from AutoZone if I am not mistaken. I purchased all of the carbs because I was trying to correct a problem of back firing. It turns out it wasn't the carb but the timing chain had stretched too far. I don't have the carbs anymore. Keith |

Re: WTB: Oil filler tube manifold style
ScottH, I finally made it out to the salvage yard yesterday. The guy wants $95 for the oil filler tube including the intake manifold. He says he has never had any luck removing an oil filler tube so he will sell both the oil filler tube and the intake manifold as a complete unit.
Sorry, it doesn't sound like that good of a deal. Zicc1835, the salvage yard guy wants $75.00 for the carbeurator. He also said it most likely will need rebuilding. If either of you are interested I will forward the contact information. I apolagize for taking so long to get out to the salvage yard. Keith |
