The length of the front springs. 2nd gen are 3" longer if memory serves.

so has anyone installed 73 up front springs into a 72? I am sure someone has but i cannot find it in search.

Correct. Rear springs are the same, but the front ones are longer in later models. I know because the PO put '73+ springs on the front of my Blazer and the shackles/rear eyes are pushed up against the frame. I called Skyjacker to verify the part number on them. Too bad, they're almost brand new (as far as mileage goes) Skyjacker springs. I'd sell them, but right now I don't have anything to replace them with.

amazing how much more a lift costs for the 72 considering they are shorter! Superlift is the only 8 inch i could find for the 72 and they are on the edge of shutting down so i will buy a 73-87 kit and make new hangers for the front. thanx for the help
