Re: Wrapping headers

I wrapped a set of steel powdercoated Hedman headers on my Blazer and it destroyed the headers. Not from rust, but from not letting the headers dissipate the heat. The result is exteremely brittle steel. I ended up blowing out a hole in my number 6 tube, so I removed all of the wrap to see what was going on. The steel was so brittle that I could hit it with a hammer and break off pieces around the hole.

Go with a remote solenoid and never look back.
