Thats normall for any shop. Also if the part you buy is defective or incorrect for your vehicle, it wastes a lot of their time. Also when you come back in 3 months and say the power steering doesnt work anymore, they arnt going to warranty it so you will have to pay them to pull the pump back out.

I was in advance one rainy day buying 1500 wet-sand paper. While at the check out. One of the counter jockey hollers "Oh my god, what is he doing! He's going to get shocked to death" Of coarse, most of us in the store turn to look as this genius runs outside to stop his fellow co-worker from killing himself by hooking up jumper cables. In the rain. Only me and one another guy just started busting up laughing. shew! that was a close one. Then when I paid for my sand paper and was ready to walk out the door, one of them stopped me to ask if I wanted a bag. So my wet-sandpaper didn't get wet. Me and My local Advance have a love hate relation ship. Sometimes I leave there with a big smile, because they done or said something stupid that makes me laugh. but mostly they've done or said something stupid that just flat pi$$es me off.

OK... now it's bad.... My wife has gotten in on it. She had snuck out and hooked up her Ipod in my truck and cranked the volume. She proceeds to yell at me to run up and get a half gallon of milk. I jump in the C10, twist the key and it happened.... 800 watts of The Navy band from Annapolis playing "Anchors Aweigh". Scared the devil out of me, I came out that truck like I was on fire.... We been married 20 years, I ain't never seen her laugh so hard.

Sam's club does that with tires. They will not put any tire on a rim that the truck didn't come with. I think it's crazy...everyone wants to be a control freak.

i only go to oriellys because the counter jockeys at AZ and Advanced are just bigger idiots than i care to deal with. i do have an oriellys 8 miles from my house i bypass it and go 12 more miles to the area hub store to get everything i need. and only use one counter man there.

i was buying parts for my 85c10 a few weeks ago i needed spark plugs so i changet trucks on them i need plugs from a 94 chevy 1500 ? the parts counter idiot asked did i drop and 85 body on my 94 frame. he couldnt fathom i had vortec heads on my truck. i could have really blew his mind with its a 74 400 block with custome pistons for 6 inch rods with 350 vortec heads. idiots just give me what i ask for and dont ask questions that your idiot screen dont ask. ill fry its hard drive with some of our motor combinations.
