My blazer has the same roof rack that I believe is factory. It also has the same passenger entry assist handle mounted to the right of the glove box door (Not the ones on the outside). Has anyone else seen one? I was questioning factory even though the original owner said it was.

Here's the one on e-bay and I'll try to post a pic of mine later.

Dan72cst, I've never seen one of those before, but I've considered putting a handle there to stop my wife from using the door to pull herself up. Do you have any pics of the handle in your's?

Except for the carpet,horns,and fender lips, all the other items were very popular in 1972. I know I was into blazers way back then. They were used quite a bit for camping and hauling dirt bikes. The hood used for low wind resistance and better vission of the dirt roads. Extra fuel fillers were used for two 15 gal saddlebag fuel tanks inside the bed,one on each side. Twin spot lights were used for off road at night, hunting or just four-wheeling. Handles,both inside and out, were used to help get in and out of vehicle when in a creek or mud hole or just for short people. Combination of outside handle and step were to aid in lashing camping gear on roof rack. Once carried four dirt bikes on blazer, three inside with hardtop on and one lashed to front bumper. All four were 250s. Sinched down the shocks.
All these items were after market items. You could have your dealer install them when purchasing vehicle or buy them from vendors and install them yourself.
Those were also the good days. Good old days.

Heres a couple pics of my handle. Original owner says it was there. Anyone else ever seen one in a blazer (kitchen cabinets don't count)

Yeah, I gotta do the same thing in my truck for my wife. I don't have AC vents to deal with so hopefully it won't be that hard to find something. I like the way that you can't see the screws that hold it on, but it does look a little like a cabinet handle.
