Awesome truck, I had the same idea for my '42 dump, but I just put money into brakes. Looks like i miss a beautiful weekend at Macungie!!!

It was a great weekend. Over 600 trucks,blue skies,and not too hot. I took 201 pictures! I saw this truck there in '09. Man,what a sloppy wet weekend that was. My feet were wet for two days straight. I didn't take hardly any pictures that year cuz I didn't want to ruin my camera. I'll post a thread with the other 47-59s when I get a chance.

if your working on vintage iron and want disc brakes and modern rear, isuzu NPR axles are the way to go. They are narrow, heavy duty and retain the old 6 on 8.75 bolt pattern a lot of these older trucks had. Can run 16" up to 22.5" wheels. My 57 lcf is on a 2003 GMC w4500hd chassis (same as isuzu npr) and the axle width was only 2 inches wider than the originals.
