LOL, Tim I totally misread your orgininal post. I thought you were refering to the Z28 hood, I didn't think twice about cutting it up.. but the truck hood? yup. hesitated about 10 seconds.

Got a few minutes after lunch today and figured out where the back of the hood had to be to clear the windshield, shortened it up and tacked it on.
I am not sure how I like the 2 inch space at the back of the truck hood. I may fill it in.
What do you guys think?

It's looking fantastic -- and I think it would look even better with the gap filled in.

Re: So what do you do with an OEM 69 Z28 hood?

I realize that this is a 3 yr old post but I was wondering if you any more pictures of the finished product? Looking at doing this this to my truck, got any helpful suggestions or pointers? Thanks

Looks great! and ditto on the sacrilege....The Camaro purists' would have a heart attack for sure, but, given the flimsy sheet metal hoods of today, I definitely understand why. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the compliments!!
I just have to say that I have been irritating purists for over 40 years, to me its not sacrilege as I have no problem cutting anything up for my visions.

Sorry to say that I did not complete that project as someone offered me more $$ than I thought it was worth before it was finished, so it went down the road.

I do have a couple more pics..
