Re: Smitty's 67 Build
The hood was from woodall it was not a tri-plus but I do not remember what the box said. Let me know if you need one.
The LTZ dash interfered with my feet alittle since it was a stick. Im going to put it in my 67 GMC. I could have made it work but time was a issue and it was very heavy. |

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Thanks. How did yours fit? It looks great in the photos, did you have a ton to do to get it there? Take a look at my build thread, the first link in my signature. I posted pics of what we have. We are contacting the company we got it from. If we can't get anywhere, I will let you know. Thanks again! The truck looks awesome! By the way how far are you from the Pittsburgh area?

It took me two days but I made it all the way through. Truck looks beautiful and gives me a lot of inspiration. I am planning a '65 that will be similar. Congrats on the invite to Optima Challenge, you'll have a lot of truck guys pulling for you!

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
I just want to tell you that I am envious of your truck, it is absolutely amazing and that is how I envisioned mine but money and time got in the way. Enjoy the heck out of that truck, I know I sure would. Check mine out if you have some time and give me a little critizism on my design. I am good with it. Those shocks are what I would like to put on mine. I love everything about your truck!!!!!!!! GREAT JOB!

Re: Smitty's 67 Build
Well I just got back from Texas Good-Guys. We won the truck class and we are now in the pro class.
Update for the truck I will be removing the front clip starting next week. I need to run a larger front tire ( 315 ) and make it turn better. In order to make this happen I will be installing a No Limit wide ride kit with Ridetech Shock Waves and a Billet Rack from Flaming river. I will have the front suspension on it for sale also hit me up with a pm if interested. I have more pics and videos on face book there is a link on the bottom of my web page http://www.smittyscustomauto.com/ |
