my 69 project
my uncle bought this 1969 brand new, finally got my aunt to let me have it. been setting since 1995.
350/th400 combo was 99% original i changed the intake, carb and added HEI distributor. pulled the plugs and soaked the cylinders with atf. replaced all fuel lines(has aftermarket fiberglass saddle tanks) replace fuel pump. new wires and plugs, flushed coolant system. changed oil and filter, filled up with fuel and fired her up. runs perfect. now to start something i just dont know what. was conflicted about putting the aftermarket intake and HEI unit on it but i kept all the original parts. i think i am going to clean up the truck do a little of this and that to improve drive ability. truck just has a little over 98,000 original miles, no odometer roll over, my uncle worked just a 1/4 mile from the house and he only drove it back and forth to work and to his lake house about 60 miles round trip other than that we took my aunts car every where since it was more comfortable and got WAY BETTER fuel mileage. he bought a new 1983 chevy and parked the 69 until i got old enough to drive, i drove it for two years around town and to school until i got enough money to buy my own car. we then took it to the lake and used it to load and unload the boat(that's why it has a trailer ball on the front),haul trash and that was it. one day he was going to move the boat and the truck wouldn't start so he just pushed it in the back and there it sat |

Re: my 69 project
Great family history and a good save on this truck.
DO what you would like to with it and make it your own!
