Re: help me start my engine plz
That sounds like a vacuum leak.
Your engine creates a pretty strong vacuum when the throttle is closed, and your carburetor relies on that strong vacuum to feed the fuel when the throttle is closed. An air leak will reduce that vacuum. If your strong vacuum becomes a weak vacuum because of an air leak, then the carburetor doesn't feed the fuel properly. No fuel equals no run. What kind of carburetor is it?

I'm not really familiar with that carburetor, I can't help you on the configuration of that one.

Re: help me start my engine plz
Ive got the same motor in my truck right now, there something like 50 vacuum lines running around to all sorts of places. Make sure the 4 carb to intake bolts are tight. The rear closet to the valve cover in a P.I.A to tighten.
Left side of photo is the firewall, Right side is core support lots of vacuum lines, I pulled almost everything off and plugged em off Last edited by 86C10LWB; 10-16-2012 at 01:25 AM. |
