wow that sucks, Im just curious did the strap itself break in two or did the stitches come out at the end were it loops though the hook

Nice truck.
I do want a canopy (not sure what you 'Mericans call it) on my truck when I get it. I hear they are reasonably cheap to pick up.

The camper shell?? It is nice but not really my style. I have it for sale on the net for 75.00 and nobody has bought it yet.....so yeah, they seem real cheap!

Not sure if you are talking to me but I think the dry rotted tires on the donor deflated causing the strap to loosen.
