2011-up 3/4-ton and 1-tons have a different bolt pattern.

Re: late dually wheels to 83 1 tonner ?
Regarding lug nuts, look for 9/16" conversion lug nuts. They will look like the newer lug nuts with the external threads but have a 9/16" center instead of M14. The external threads are used by the center cap retainers.

Re: late dually wheels to 83 1 tonner ?
Be aware of some other wheel info, the center hub bore diameter is larger on new style wheels causing wheels to run off center. You can fix it by using a "Hub Ring" or just checking the wheels before you purchase them.
Here is some helpful info... 76-2000 Hub Bore is 4.56 / wheels are 8 X 6.0 01-2007 Hub Bore is 4.60 / wheels are 8 X 6.5 Desert |

Re: late dually wheels to 83 1 tonner ?
True, but having a machine shop drill out the correct pattern is not a big deal at all, but keep in mind the hub bore diameter.
Quote:
It WILL be an issue if he used 8x6.5" Ford wheels with a 4.88" bore, older Dodge with a 4.75" bore, or newer Dodge with a 4.78" bore, although with those sizes, a hub ring would be feasible to machine. If you just want the "fancy rings and caps" just put them on your wheels. As 83GMC mentioned; just get the correct conversion dual threaded lug nuts, IIRC McGard produces them, in 9/16 with the external threads. Then just thread on the newer caps, and pop on the rings to your existing wheels.
