Re: FS: 72 350 4 bolt main bare block cheap
3970010 was a general casting number for 350 blocks from 1969-1979 and some 1968 327, and come in nearly every car & truck in all HP configurations. Some were high nickel, most were not. The high nickel blocks had "010" casting mark inside the timing chain cover and some had it on he side of the block.

Re: FS: 72 350 4 bolt main bare block cheap
Scott: Did I have any standing in this posting? Dario1 came into this thread late and only ask the question as to whether you had main caps for the block. At no time did he express any interest in purchasing until i expressed interest in this posting. I am away on vacation and was going to contact you when i got back home.
As I looked , back at the thread it seems that GMC 2500 4X4 may have showed interest in this before both of us! Last edited by 72swbcamo; 05-10-2013 at 04:43 PM. |

Re: FS: 72 350 4 bolt main bare block cheap
This is a difficult situation which I myself have been in the middle of several times.
The problem is expressing interest does not say "I intend to buy it", although it does imply one may decide to. The real difficulty I have with this thread is it is a year old & just recently members have express interest. As I have been told myself, "I will take it" is the definitive sold statement. Dario1 did post b4 u asking a question which also implies interest. However if we assume everyone that asks questions, or expresses interest, is going to buy an item, some things would never be sold. So I guess in trying to be as fair as possible, since Dario1 posted earlier and stated he would take it, I will have to give him first shot. I hope this sounds fair to all.

Hi Scott: let me know if Dario1 falls through. If the package becomes available I'll take it. Sorry for getting you in the middle of this issue.
