cutting lower control arm cups down

Starting to bag the front of my 73 c10 using the upper plate and lower cups which are a little over 2inches. How much can I trim off the cup to avoid rubbing if anyone has done before. Thanks

Re: cutting lower control arm cups down

thanks for the replys i ended up leaving them at 2 inches and it worked perfect im about 2 inches from control arms touching the ground probally could be lower but when aired out im only able to go so far down till inner fender sits on tire i guess if i removed it would be on the floor
