Good move. High school should and will be some of the best times of your life. You will have plenty of time for that big restoration project after college when real life sets in.

I was in the same boat you were in. It was the summer before my senior year in high school and I had the same decision to make. I decided to do a full blown frame off restoration and I wouldn't change a thing if I could. I've learned so much that I can apply to future projects and I'm gonna be turning 20 soon with one of the nicest trucks I could ask for. Either way, keep the truck and if you decided to restore it now or later you'll always appreciate it.
