hmm, wonder what the difference between the 522 medium bronze on my '70 and the 582 medium bronze on yours--which btw is drop dead gorgeous.

I ask a bodyman at work and his answer was that originaly paint did not have clear coat on it, now often they put 3 coats of clear on. Also lighting makes a lot of differance.

522 solid med bronze/copper poly
551 conventional two-tone med bronze with a white roof
582 special two-tone med bronze with a white roof and white below the rockers

71-72 truck also had the
462 deluxe two-tone med bronze with a white roof and white between the upper and lower bodyside moldings

They are all the same body color, the code is simply giving us the useage too.
