Re: Does your truck have a name?

Not throwing stones here...BUT....

I've owned my 67 for 17 years now...never once felt the need to give it a name. My "truck" has always fit just fine. No silly name here.

I also own 5 (yes, 5) Harleys and NONE of them have silly names either.

I haven't named any of my vehicles since I started driving aside from "my car" or "my truck".

It's more of a thing I've done since having kids. It just sounds too cool to say "Everyone to the Batmobile!" or "To the Marshmallow!" or in this case, "Everyone pile into Ceciliaaaaaa, yer breakin my heart!"

If it makes you feel better, I had a big greyhound dog once named "Dog". He lived to be 7 and never had a proper name. We used to ride him like a harley sometimes

Obviously this guy only has vehicles to "keep up with the Joneses"!! Even the Navy names all the vessels they have. Hell, war planes have names. I guess only if you truly love it enough to consider it a part of the family will you give it a name. Thus, I have the following family members, past and present:
2003 Neon - Rudy - Gone
1995 silverado - Charlene Darlin - sold to pay for Maggie Mayhem
1985 GMC Jimmy - Fu*k@r, cause it broke down a lot - gone
2006 charger - Jezebel
2005 Suzuki boulevard - Raven - for sale
1965 C10 swb step - Maggie Mayhem, AKA (by my 3yo daughter) "Mine"
1982 custom deluxe - Doom Kitty

That's my current list.

I built all my bikes myself...take a look at the latest one, I just got done building a new engine for it this past weekend. I enjoy building them, not naming goofy names....hell, you even named a neon and admit to it? SHAME ON YOU.

Sure, I admit that my even cares enough to take pride in the vehicle she drives. The scooters do look nice, you do great work twisting wrenches, but have no compassion for your builds. They are just hunks of metal I guess.
We can agree to disagree and leave it at that, or you can bicker back at me, but realize that you are the only one that bothered to post here with your "silly" or "goofy" attitude. Have a great evening, and please keep up the good work on your bicycles.
