Re: gas pedal mount>

I actually used the original mount out of a 2006 Tahoe that my drive train came out of if you look at the picture I just kept bending the lower mount to match the floor then made two spacers for the other two mounting hole which you can't see. The spacers actually go between the pedal bracket and firewall. Also that upper mount on left theirs one just like it behind the pedal it also bends to the left. The spacers are for the upper mounts hope you under stood that. Really worked slick got it almost right in the original spot

Re: gas pedal mount>

Take a look at my build, we used a cut steel piece and a custom pedal-arm and fit it up. It gives us a little more let room because it puts thr pedal as "deep" as it can go while still Maxes out at the carpet.

Re: gas pedal mount>

Not trying to hijack this thread...but do you get much travel out of that pedal? On my pedal, closed to wide open is only like an inch of movement

Re: gas pedal mount>

My DBW pedal is out of an 01 GMC Yukon, I combined the DBW with the base and pedal arm from my 71 and it works great and bolts up to the factory holes. It has full throttle/travel and works great.

Re: gas pedal mount>

I guess the "old shotgun barrel" gas pedal isn't for everyone.

Re: gas pedal mount>

my pedal is a later model dbw like post #2. there is no metal base or shaft, they are totally composite so my welder was of no use. I have a block in place for now but like the bracket for it as posted in #2 and can see something similar as a future upgrade.

I'm not sure. You'll have to ask the whoever is building your harness, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Re: gas pedal mount>

"You can use a Corvette pedal instead of a truck pedal with the proper pining. Can't substitute it on a Trailblazer setup though." Quote from John at Speartech in regards to the Corvette pedal.
