I'd say grab it. You might never want or need it, but you won't likely see another. Then again I'm a hoarder so...

Small world. My '74 is the same color, and has the same valve.

Re: Should I salvage this?

I believe that's a 74 only part. I've come across 2 of them in the past. Both on 74's.

They come up on here periodically. It was an early 70's thing for sure!

Re: Should I salvage this?

First time for me also. But think it would be better then the newer ones. I like it.As said abouve, least amount of problems I would think. Even if you only use one tank, I would still keep it on the truck. MO

Re: Should I salvage this?

It's seized but I'm not sure if that's from the cable or valve. It's on a 73-74 gmc Sierra 1500. We already grabbed the flat emblems and grill. Has a nice nice interior. Sun has had it's way with it and so has rust but its all there. I also grabbed the GMC tailgate letters.

Re: Should I salvage this?

Hell yes grab it. It is for 454 powered dual tank trucks. Early early...I am surprised someone has a '75 with it, I thought it was '73/'74 only, guess not.

Re: Should I salvage this?

My 75 BB 1/2 ton has one as well. I have had alot less problems with it in the past 15 years vs. the electric in my 76 3/4 ton I've had for a year.
