I'm using a seat from a 1999, Chevy 1500. Bolted to a flat floor with reinforcement plates underneath. GM tilt column, clears my gut just fine, comfortable to sit in.

Along the same line as the original question,when using this later seat, is there room in the rear corners near the floor to install the retractors for shoulder belts? Anyone?
