For $250,000, I'd put this 1000ci motor in.

I was thinking the hot lick Blown Corvette motor when I wrote that buy you are probably closer to the actual cost.

The guy obviously has a certain customer type that he intends to attempt to sell the truck to and to those guys 250K is chump change. I'd still like to see what a couple of the guys on here could do starting with that same batch of parts.

My ongoing truck projects:
48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

The long (and short) version of that answer is "A whole lot more!" .

Honestly, I get what he's doing, there's an buyer out there for everything, at every price, but after seeing this it makes me think any practical person in our hobby would be concerned about doing business with this gentleman. Realistically, he's attempting to pull the wool over someone's eyes, makes me wonder what else he'd "justify" expense wise.

Not trying to take a personal shot at the guy, the truck is beautiful, just seems like the kinda deal I wouldn't want my business tied to. I know it sounds cold, but the guy honestly thinks his effort (assuming the investments previously analyzed are accurate, and they are in my opinion) was worth $125K profit? How much does he charge to rotate tires on a rod? Lol.
