the k20 uses the HD dana44, different than k10's D-44"s

I was on QUAD 4X4 website and also learned that there is a difference between the open and closed knuckle axles. The lockers from an open knuckle won't fit in the hubs of a closed knuckle, due to a difference in design. Lots to learn when it comes to axles of these years.

KTS--go to the 4x4 section and do a search for closed knuckle disc brakes. Danw210 did a great right up. just some more info. still building mine.

Looks great. To this point, I am going to keep my search going for some originals, but that may be an option. 62short step has a complete axle he is willing to part out. I am waiting to hear back from him right now. Thanks for the idea though.

A big Thank You goes out to 62 Short Step for helping me end the tiring search for front hubs. Can't wait to get the hubs and get started with the chassis work on my 61.
