Dynamat isn't a sound deadener. It will reduce the resonance but wont do as much to decrease the volume. What you want is a small amount of dynamat (think like 20% on the large flat panels) followed by closed cell foam then mass loaded vinyl. If you are skipping on any of it skip the dynamat.
