Any of the 90+ composite beam lights will bolt directly onto your 88, it just takes a bit of trimming of the grille IIRC, or just put a newer grille on.

The grille doesn't need any modifying. You just need to splice in some pigtails with the plugs for the 9005/9006 bulbs.
