I didn't understand what you were saying at first but now I think I understand.
Yes, the Alcoa center caps are installed from the outside. What I was proposing is to run the mounts for the simulator hub covers under the compression ring - between the compression ring and the outside of the wheel. Similar to what monte0185 has on his wheels. Seems feasible, but if it is a risk of a mounting failure then I will forget the idea? Quote:
